Dublin Waste to Energy (Covanta)
As part of Covanta's commitment to education, the Dublin Waste to Energy plant is pleased to welcome tour groups to the Dublin Waste to Energy facility. Since beginning operations, Covanta has hosted school groups, community organisations, government officials and many others. Working in partnership with Dublin agency MKC Communications, Mirador set-out to develop a series of hands-on interactive exhibits to educate visitors about the waste to energy process - from sorting out their rubbish at home to the many benefits including energy generation, distric heating and use of residual waste in construction materials. This distinctive Dublin landmak building at the entrance of the harbour is extremely advanced - both in design and in technology - and our exhibits endeavour to reflect this through innovative interpretation.
