STELLA MARIS CENTRE
The Stella Maris Centre lies at the heart of the picturesque seaside village of Kilmore Quay. The centre has been in existance for many years as a place for community activities and various local services. The people of Kilmore Quay saw an opportunity to present the history of the village and surrounding area by way of a purpose built visitor centre.
Mirador Media worked with the people of Kilmore Quay to design and build a full multimedia visitor experience where visitors can go to learn about the village. Large graphic boxes segregate the room into a number of themed sections. With the aid of screens, a peephole, a projection and various push-button activated fixed audio points the visitor can get a detailed picture of the history, culture, nature and activities in the village and surrounding areas.
